Who Launch FSC Card

The Food Security Card (FSC) or Ration Card system in Telangana is managed by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Food and Civil Supplies, Government of Telangana, under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), 2013, which was enacted by the Parliament of India and signed into law on September 12, 2013, with retroactive effect from July 5, 2013. The NFSA, also known as the Right to Food Act, was introduced to ensure food security for households across India, including Telangana, by providing subsidized food grains through the Public Distribution System (PDS).

In Telangana, the Electronic Public Distribution System (EPDS) was launched by the Telangana State Government after the state’s formation in 2014, following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. Recent initiatives, such as the distribution of new ration cards starting July 14, 2025, in Telangana, were announced under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, with Civil Supplies Minister N.
